Programming for Families with Children

A Note to All Parents: No child or teen is permitted to wander the building unattended at any time. All children and teens must either be with a parent or caregiver or be in appropriate children/ family/ teen programming. A parent or caregiver is required to accompany all children ages 0-2 at all times. Please support our efforts to have a positive and safe experience for the Romemu community.

Children’s Blessing

Rosh Hashanah Days 1 & 2 and Yom Kippur

All are welcome to participate in the children’s blessing and the Torah procession in the main sanctuary.

 “Wake Up Our Hearts: An AWEsome High Holy Day Experience for Babies and Children”

Rosh Hashanah Days 1 & 2 and Yom Kippur
10:30 AM – 12:15 PM

A special Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur experience created just for young children and their grownups. Join Carla Friend of Tkiya for singing, dancing, storytelling, shofar-blasting, and memory-making. Best for children 0-4.

 “Journey to the Heart: An AWEsome High Holy Day Experience for Families”

Rosh Hashanah Days 1 & 2 and Yom Kippur
10:30 – 11:45 AM

We will sing joyful songs, stand with intention for the blasts of the shofar, and bring creativity to our shared experience through Torah theater. This experience is designed for families, therefore parents are required to attend with their children. Best for families with children ages 5+. Led by Rabbi Shoshana Leis and composer Landon Braverman.

Childcare Options for Ages 3-11:

Supervision in multiple rooms with age-appropriate activities will be available for children during the days and times listed below. Hearty snacks will be provided in all supervised rooms. Please note: All children must be pre-registered.

Erev Rosh Hashanah: 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Rosh Hashanah Day 1: 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Rosh Hashanah Day 2: 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Kol Nidre: 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Yom Kippur Day: 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Minchah/Neilah: 6:00 – 9:00 PM

Supervision Options for Ages 12-17 (Grades 6 and Up):

Teens in grades 6 and up are encouraged to join the family experiences and/ or services in the main sanctuary. Hearty snacks will be provided in all supervised rooms. Teens are also welcome to spend time in our supervised teen room, which will be available during the following times:
