Strangers No More Monthly Discussion Series – Session #4 – It’s Not Just Hanukkah: Navigating Multiple Traditions

Wednesday, December 5, 2018 - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Finding Nourishment in the Darkness and the Light:
Navigating the Holiday Season
Tonight we will explore how we can navigate the holidays in a way that nourishes us rather than depletes us – especially when we are navigating multiple traditions in our lives. How can we use this holiday time to glean wisdom and cultivate spiritual practices and compassion that sustain us throughout the year?  We will also have some time together to just socialize and celebrate all of the holidays (it’s the 4th night of Chanukah) and enjoy food and drink!

Are you an interfaith couple wrestling with how you will get married, raise children and celebrate holidays? Interested in Judaism or Romemu but grew up in another tradition? Identify as Jewish but still feel “a stranger” at times in Jewish settings? If you answered “yes” any of these questions, come and join a wonderfully diverse part of the Romemu community for our monthly discussion series – a safe, non-judgmental setting to explore together.

Bring a vegetarian/dairy snack to share. NOTE TIME CHANGE: Doors open 6:30PM for food and schmooze and session begins promptly at 7:ooPM.

Newcomers expected and welcomed. This session is part of a series that meets the first Wednesday of each month. While attendance at every session is not a requirement, we hope you will attend as many as you can! Location given upon registration. Email Rev. Eleanor Harrison Bregman to register at
