Join Romemu and the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute for a collaborative Shabbat morning service. We’ll davven together using Romemu liturgy and Kohenet chant, exploring G-d-language that is male, female, and neither. During the Torah service, we’ll hear the story of how Joseph tells the meaning of Pharaoh’s dreams, and explore the Jewish spiritual practice of dreamwork, which is a core practice of the Kohenet community. We’ll consider dream images as sources of revelation in Genesis and in our own lives. And, we’ll honor the sixth day of Chanukah as the North African Jewish holiday of Chag haBanot, Festival of the Daughters, with a gift-giving ceremony. Join Hazzan Basya Schechter, Rabbi and Kohenet Jill Hammer, Kohenet Shoshana Jedwab, Elana Brody, and Yael Kanarek for this special Shabbat morning.
