‘Love in Action:’ Community Outreach Opportunity on MLK Day

Join the Romemu, Tkiya, and West End Presbyterian Church communities to lift up the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrate Tu B’Shvat. The event includes a pita and hummus lunch, a MLK teaching, and a Love in Action service program for ages 0-8 and their adults to benefit Regent Family Residence on 104th street and Broadway. Romemu’s Rabbi Mira Rivera and the Heavenly Mischief Band will play classic and contemporary freedom songs. To RSVP to this event, please fill out this form.

Saturate the mind and body and uplift the soul through a multi-sensory engagement with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s inspiring legacy and words. This session will involve Hevruta learning, reflective writing, community poetry, and choreography.

**Songs from the Civil Rights Movement with Heavenly Mischief Band
1:10 – 1:50
Sing contemporary and spiritual songs that reinvigorate the values of the civil right movement.
