The Young Tish creates an inclusive setting for people in their 20s and 30s to gather socially and spiritually within the wider Romemu community. In a safe, judgment-free environment, the Young Tish encourages the exploration of Jewish ritual and spiritual practices, discussion of progressive Jewish ideas, and joyful celebration through regular community gatherings.
Young Tish events include community and home-hosted Shabbat potlucks, holiday celebrations, camping trips, open mic nights that display diverse artistic mediums, preparing meals for the homeless, movie and discussion nights, picnics in Central Park, and Jewish meditation gatherings.
All individuals in their 20s and 30s are welcome and invited to share ideas for Young Tish programming and/or to join the Young Tish committee in a leadership role. Please email us and join the Young Tish Facebook group for updates on upcoming events.
The Young Tish is gratefully funded by a grant from UJA-Federation.
