Adult Education* (RAE) – An evolving adult learning program features a rich selection of Jewish study practices and a transformative chance to deepen our connection with the Torah through study.
Chesed – Serve our members’ well-being through mitzvot: visit the sick, comfort the bereaved, and provide support during joyous occasions; inspire the entire community!
Chevra Kadisha** – A holy society to take care of those members of the community who have just died. The practice involves sitting vigil with the body of the deceased while reciting psalms and other prayers. Signup here.
Community Band – Our band plays at services once a month and also brings a special flair to Romemu community events. Join us and bring your musical talents to Romemu.
Decorations – Beautify, prepare and envision Romemu’s sacred spaces including our parties, holidays and special events.
Development – Cultivate greater financial resources, partnerships and ultimately opportunities for our community’s future.
Family Programming – Help plan Shabbat and holiday celebrations for our youngest families.
Gabbai – Help to organize the rituals around the Torah Service.
Gala – Do you have special connections great for our gala and Silent Auction or want to volunteer to help?
Holidays & Special Events – Participate in the event planning and organizing for all of our Jewish Holidays, special events and celebrations.
Leynin’ – Learn to read Torah to participate in Shabbat and Holiday services.
Marketing/PR – Increase awareness of our community on the web and in the media.
Membership – Build and sustain Romemu membership by spreading the word with inreach and outreach activities.
Shomerim – Deepen your spiritual practice by creating intentions: set up our sacred space and welcome our prayer community.
Social Justice – We present opportunities for topic study, direct service and systems change aiming towards working for a more just world.
Seekers Holistic Hebrew School – Romemu Seekers is a new model for Jewish education based on Romemu’s values and the centrality of spirit in our lives. Help guide our evolving efforts to create programs that kids and parents LOVE.
The Young Tish – 20s and 30s gather within a progressive Jewish context for Shabbat meals, dessert and wine onegs with creative play, celebration, and Jewish meditation workshops and trainings.

Red Tent – Enjoy a safe and sacred space where we share and explore what it means to be Jewish and female-identified in the 21st century.
Romemu Business Network – Come together monthly to meet people, share your connections, and make new ones. We give 10% of our Romemu-inspired business back to Romemu.
Rome’Rainbows – We bring together LGBTQ identified individuals in a welcoming and safe spiritual community to plan community building events, and pursue social activism.
Rome’Revelers – Romemu members and their friends over 40 years of age plan and get together for various enlivening events: social, sporting, cultural, community service, and more!
Sage-ing Circle – We affirm the importance and value of the elder years. Within a supportive community, we deepen our awareness, harvest our life experience, and share our understanding with others.
ShabbatAsana – Yoga and meditation circle every Shabbat, 8:30am. It’s that simple. It’s that radical.
Shivti – Yoga and Jewish meditation circle every Shabbat afternoon is offered to all levels. Twice monthly yoga in a Jewish context is offered to all levels and precedes meditation.
Singing Circle – Sing loud, sing soft, sing with your heart and your community.
