Passover Learning:

    • Passover Gates of Light: Using Kabbalistic Tarot to Count the Omer with Guest Mark Horn
      • Tues. 4/16 @ 7 PM
      • Solomon Schechter – 805 Columbus Ave.
      • The wisdom of the Kabbalah is hidden in the structure of the tarot deck. By uncovering the connections between Tarot and Kabbalah we can use the cards to access the transformational power of working with the Tree of Life to Count the Omer. For many people, the concepts of the Sephirot in the Tree of Life can feel too abstract—so that using the images of the tarot can help bring these concepts to life in the everyday situations we face.
      • Whether or not you are familiar with tarot cards, the images will spark associations that help you work this traditional Jewish practice in a new, untraditional way. This evening we’ll quickly review the Omer practice and then explore how to use the cards to walk this path.

Romemu’s Holistic 2nd Night Seder

SOLD OUT

Sat. 4/20 @ 6:30 PM
JCC Manhattan – 334 Amsterdam Ave.

Due to an overwhelming response to our second night holistic seder at the JCC, this event is now sold out.

According to the Jewish mystical tradition, on Passover, speech itself was redeemed. And on Passover, not only do our mouths speak; they tell the story of liberation and taste the tastes of freedom. Through the acts of blessing, eating, meditating, and joyous singing, we will transcend self-limiting beliefs, and become empowered to address the causes of systemic oppression including racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia and greed.

Bring your family and friends and join Romemu’s Rabbi Shoshana Leis and Hazzan Basya Schechter at the JCC for this exquisite evening! There is a kosher meat meal, but plenty of options for vegetarians.
