Romemu Yeshiva – Chanukah Candle Gazing Study & Practice
With Rabbi Miriam Margles on Zoom
Join our Rabbi Miriam Margles for a sample session that includes meditation, study, and prayer. The session is one hour and includes time at the end for questions about our summer yeshiva program.

First Night of Chanukah at the ‘MU
 
Join Hazzan Basya and the Romemu Community Band for music, candle-lighting and intention-setting at the Romemu Center. The evening will include a communal candle lighting, sustainability dedication, and a Chanukah sing-a-long, followed by schmoozing, celebration, and a pot-luck meal

Monday, December 23

Chanukah Screening of “Green Rebel” Presented by Romemu and Hazon 
 
Join us on the second night of Chanukah to view and discuss “Green Rebel”, an in-progress feature documentary project telling a story of Israel and Africa. Solar energy visionary Yossi Abramowitz’s Jerusalem company provides solutions to both global climate change, and to inequality in Africa. Join a discussion with director Harvey Stein.

With Love We Serve: Holiday Volunteer Opportunity 
 
What better way to bring in the light of Chanukah than to volunteer your time for those in need? On December 25th, Join our Romemu community to volunteer at the nicknamed “Four Star Soup Kitchen” where you will help serve four-course meals to those so often marginalized in our society. 18 volunteer spots available.

Saturday, December 28

The Dream is one Dream – Romemu and Kohenet Shabbat Chanukah Lunch & Dream Workshop 
 
Join Romemu and the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute plus special guests Rabbi Kohenet Jill Hammer, Kohenet Shoshana Jedwab, Elana Brody, and Romemu’s artist and residence Yael Kanarek for a collaborative Shabbat morning service. Then stay after services for a delicious community pot-luck meal followed by a dream workshop where we will learn how to work with dreams for healing and transformation in the waking world.
